Canzo is a country of 5192 inhabitants. It is the last country of the Alta Brianza on the border of Vallassina. It is separated from Asso by Valategna waterfall and on the south by Segrino Lake.The country is crossed by the river Ravella. In 1856 was born Filippo Turati, a famous politician who was one of the founder of the Italian Socialist Party. Of artistic interest is Saint Stephen parish with its classic baroque style, Saint Francis Church, and Sain Miro hermitage. You can reach the hermitage walking along a mountain geological path. There is Villa Meda, a building used for cultural activities where is a beautiful library and a valuable Baptistry. In the main street there is Tentorio Building which hosts the Town Hall and its offices.There is ,also a small nice theatre with its neoclassical style.
